First several months, a lot of mucus is secreted, but it will eventually decrease.
Constant contact of urine or mucous can cause skin damage.=A gauze pad soaked in dilute vinegar solution (30%-50%) can be applied to the lesions for 20 minutes at each time of pouch changing.
If you have a fever, flank pain, or murky, foul-smelling urine, call your doctor.

8-10 glasses of fluid per day be consumed to help decrease the chance of kidney infection.
